This self-contained garden unit is available for a quiet/low-impact tenant. I live in the upstairs unit. I think the market rate for the garden unit is about $1350pm plus share of utilities. But because I’m noise sensitive and like quiet, I’m discounting it to $1090pm plus share utilities for the right person.
You would be a great fit if:
– You’re a conscious, cool person with integrity and respect, and enjoying life. (making a difference in the world would be a bonus but not required 😉 )
– it’s natural for you to shut doors, drawers and cupboards very gently
– you don’t a lot of guests (couple of times a week is fine), and get your social connection/social life outside of the home; if you have a partner, you naturally hang out at their place most of the time.
– home is a place for you to rest and recharge
– you work outside of home
– it’s just for one occupant, you (no couples applying please)
– I wouldn’t hear your tv/voices/music after 8:30pm or before 8am, and we are both generally quiet in between (insulation between the floors is pretty good. Although you may hear me walking lightly, and may hear my tv on one side of the house before 10pm.
– you don’t smoke cigarettes, even outside.
If this doesn’t feel like any easy fit, no worries at all. If it seems easy and a good deal, then we should talk. And btw I do have my social side and I’m happy to wave or maybe chat if I see you in the yard, while respecting privacy and not expecting chatting if you’re wanting solitude, and vice versa.
The unit includes a kitchen – fridge, electric stove, microwave, couch, coffee table, kitchen table & chairs, king bed – a laundry (this the only thing shared – I’d use it about once a week at an agreed time), large living room, bedroom/second large living room (I’m willing to buy a small external closet), nice bathroom with beautiful updated penny-tile floor, separate entrance and your own outdoor sitting area.
If you are a hot-tub person, I’d probably be OK with you using the outdoor hot tub (killer view) on my patio when I’m not home (the place really does have it’s perks 😉 )
Sought after downtown area off Charlotte St, bordering forest, only one immediate neighbor. Cats aren’t allowed on my lease, but a friendly, quiet dog MIGHT be approved by the agent with non-refundable pet deposit, if it gets on with my dog (also quiet, and adorable).
