David Wood: [00:00:00] It got me thinking about rituals and routines, and I’ve got a chin up bar. Now I’ll go out. I’ll do some of those. And whenever I take my my dog out to pee, I will strip off. I will strip down to my underwear. I live in the mountain. So it’s, you know, I don’t have a lot of people who can see me. I will strip down to my underwear and go out and run barefoot in the snow.

For, and I’m very proud of this, I just do 76 steps barefoot in the snow. My energy healer says it’s going to be great for me to get my energy moving. He’s also got me doing cold showers, and I tell you what, when there’s snow on the ground outside, you’re going to step out under a cold shower. Really take something.

But again, I think it gives balance, you know, we can’t just sit at the computer for 20 hours a day. We’ll go absolutely insane.

Jason Cass: [00:00:45] My business partner, Travis, started taking cold showers about two years ago. Still does it. Loves it. Says, I mean, literally he was saying this exaggerating, but he was serious.

He says, change my life. He said that in the first, probably five, six, seven days, it was the most grueling thing he’s ever thought of in his life. And he’s a real, mentally tough person. Like if I say I’m going to do this, I’m going to do it. And then he said, after a while, your body just gets used to it, you know, he was like, you have a little bit of a shock, just like you do when you get in and it’s warm, except that’s comforting. He says after a while, that becomes comforting. And he says, he feels like it. I dunno, like clint like just makes his inside of him feels better. He just feels better about, so

David Wood: [00:01:27] I’m told, you know, the way it was explained to me is that the blood will rush into your organs.

It’ll go away from your extremities, into your organs. And then when you come back out, and you start to warm up again, the blood will come back out. So there’s like a detoxing of…  I was terrified to do it. And listeners,  if you’re interested in trying this out, it’s called shower. The method that’s worked for me is you put your right arm in first.

So it’s cold water. Just put your arm in. That’s not hard at all. Don’t put an arm in and just let the water. And sometimes I say to myself, cleanse. And I do believe that any energy you’re carrying that you don’t want to be carrying, it will be cleansed by cold shower. So I did the right arm for ten and I count to 10.

And then I put in the right leg. Anybody can put a leg in the, into cold water. And then count to ten with the left leg, the left arm, then I do the belly. Then I step in on the chest and every single step is fine. It’s a little bit like, and then it’s like, all right, no big deal. And then so it, you know, I go on from there.

I just, you know, start soaping  up a little bit and then I couldn’t get it on my neck. I couldn’t turn around and just do the back. That would be too much. So now I turn side on and I let it be on the front, my side, and then get the neck and trickle down the back. Count to 10. I tell you what any hack that you can find that’ll have your life be better and easier.

This is how I get in and do a cold shower now. And it’s really not that big a deal. And I feel good afterwards. It’s like, wow, I’m alive.
