David Wood: [00:00:00] In MMA, you’ve got a coach for this, the coach for this, a coach for that, I realized just like maybe three months ago, I had four coaches at once and it wasn’t like I was saying, Oh, I need, I got to go looking for four coaches, but I just started dating online and I’m like, Hey, let me find someone who knows how to do this and can coach me to be better at it.
And I had an accountability coach and then I had a branding coach who knows about that. And then I had an energy healer coach. So I’m a big fan of what you’re saying. You, you know, having a coach, at least one for your business, I think it makes a lot of sense.
Daniel Puder: [00:00:39] Yeah, and I agree with you, different pieces of what you want to get good at.
Why would you. Me thinking now back. Why would you ever try to compete in something, in life, in business, in relationships, in anything, if you didn’t know how to do it properly, unless you wanted to fall and fall and fall and make more mistakes or have bigger challenges, why not get what you want faster?
Right. Rather than paying a little bit more and getting the right result.
David Wood: [00:01:08] Yeah. When I went to Columbia a couple of years ago and I wanted to learn salsa. Yeah, I could have gotten some YouTube videos and watch that and tried, but the next step up is you go to a group class and I went and did that, but it wasn’t very good and I felt embarrassed.
So I went and hired myself a teacher and I had 30 lessons in 30 days. Right. Bill Gates wants to learn bridge. He goes and gets himself a bridge coach. When I wanted to learn Balinese, I go and hire someone to teach me how to do that. So to me, it’s just so obvious if you want to do something, even as I said, even the games, want to get good in a game, find someone who knows how to do what you’re doing better than you know how to do it and learn.
You may not stick with them for 10 years. You may learn what they have to offer in three months or a year or two years, and then move on to what’s next.
